About Machu Picchu Help

We're a team of local Cusco travel experts dedicated to helping visitors experience Machu Picchu the right way — with honest advice, local knowledge, and zero sales pressure.

Why We Started This Site

It began with a simple frustration.

Every week, we'd meet travelers in Cusco who'd been given bad information about visiting Machu Picchu. Outdated ticket advice. Wrong train schedules. Overpriced tours sold through aggressive middlemen. We realized there wasn't a single, reliable English-language resource created by people who actually live here and visit the site regularly.

So we built one.

Machu Picchu Help is a completely independent website. We don't sell tours. We don't earn commissions on bookings. We make our recommendations based purely on what we'd tell a friend visiting Cusco for the first time. Our revenue comes from carefully selected partner referrals — and we're always transparent about those relationships.

We update our content constantly because things change fast here. Ticket rules shift, new regulations appear, trails open and close with the seasons. Living in Cusco means we hear about these changes as they happen — and we pass that knowledge on to you.
